Until we call a new Pastor the Deacons will do their best to provide cover for all of the usual matters of Church life.
Agreed deacons responsibilities are;
Paul Douglass and Margaret are first contact for initiating visit requests. They are also co-ordinating Midweek fellowships and are to be first point of call for initiating the prayer chain.
John Munn and Gaynor White will provide pastoral cover, visiting the unwell and other home visits as requested. All members are requested to keep the Deacons informed of any needs or visiting.
Keith Peto has taken responsibility for managing the Manse, running the Church website and leading the Church Building alterations project.
Jennie Bonnington will undertake Pastoral care with John and Gaynor, church cleaning and maintenance.
Sunday preaching; Malcolm has kindly organised the rota and will inform preachers of relevant preaching topic. Music choice etc to be sent by preachers to Adrian please for distribution to musicians in advance if possible. Worship leaders are available from within our church. Search team for our new Minister.
It was agreed that in addition to the Deacons, Simon O'Nions and Laura Saunderson be invited to assist in short listing for the Church Members to consider.
The Deacons continue to meet regularily with our moderator, Simon Farrar the Pastor of Taunton Baptist Church.
